Newborns {Williston, ND Newborn Photographer}

This spring and summer have been filled with many newborn sessions which has been a blast for me!  I LOVE everything about tiny, perfect little babies!  I am a bit behind on blogging, so I am blogging four newborns together today….get ready to see some sweet little ones.

Also, if you are thinking of booking a newborn session please contact me as soon as possible, during your second trimester is best!   I typically try to schedule newborn sessions in the first 7-10 days,  as babies are still sleepy and easy to pose at this age.  I know as a new mom thinking of photos during those first few days probably seems a little crazy, but in just a few short weeks your new little one will change so much!  I book  a limited number of sessions each month; however, I  try my best to accommodate newborns.

Ok, on to the pictures!  Here is sweet little Harper.  Her mom had a couple of fun props for her session!  I have quite a selection of props you are welcome to use as well.

I often get asked, “can we do sibling shots during a newborn session?”  Yes, you sure can!  These three were so proud of their new baby brother Duke!

I have also added the option of a mini maternity session when you book a newborn session.  If you would like details, please shoot me an email!

It was so fun to do maternity photos and get to know this couple and then meet their sweet daughter.  Due to family visiting and work schedules, I did not photograph Calli Ann until she was 3 weeks old.  As you can see, she liked to be stretched out and stayed awake almost the entire session, she is still adorable!

This was a special blanket knit by her Great Grandma.  If you have a special item you would like to include, I will do my best  to incorporate it into the session.

This is sweet Daniel!  He was so fun to snuggle!

Thank you to all my wonderful clients for sharing your little ones with me!

I had a quick session with this little guy last weekend while he and his family were in town.  He is 9 months old and SO sweet! It was  cold and rainy last weekend so we had to stay inside, but I love how these turned out….so simple and sweet!

Baby Shower {Williston, ND Newborn Photographer}

Last Saturday evening a couple of us hosted a baby shower for my sister in law and her newest baby girl, Elise.  We had big plans for a vintage themed back yard shower and the weather turned out to be terrible.  We moved the shower indoors and I still think it turned out so cute! Here are a few photos of the details.

Just look at this handsome little guy!  Doesn’t he have the bluest eyes?!  As I was driving out to meet Jace and his parents it was SO windy; I wasn’t sure this session was even going to happen.  Once we arrived at our location, the wind went down just enough to make the session work.

Jace was SO smiley throughout the session!  He is so sweet!

His parents clearly adore him….just the way it should be:)

Mom with a Camera {Williston, ND Child Photographer}

Last weekend I held my first “Mom with a Camera” workshop and it was so much fun!  Ten awesome girls joined me on Friday evening at Mega Latte, a coffee house in town and then at the James Memorial Art Center in town on Saturday.   I had so much fun teaching the technical aspects of photography on Friday and then working with everyone while they put their new knowledge to use on Saturday.

Friday evening at the coffee house:

I completely forgot to take photos of the cute lunch set up on Saturday….darn!

Here are a few photos of the group practicing:

On Saturday afternoon, we had three little models come in.  It was so hard for me to step back and let everyone else practice…I had to take a few shots too.

We started indoors:

Aren’t these girls gorgeous!

A BIG thank you to everyone who attended the workshop and to these sweet little models….what a fun weekend!  I had such a great time doing this workshop that I am sure there will be another one when things slow down a little bit, so stay tuned or email me if you are interested.
